225 years of ARNTZ history

On 31.08.2018 the company ARNTZ GMBH + Co. KG celebrated its 225th anniversary. Founded on 01.07.1793, ARNTZ is a medium-sized, internationally operating family business in the 7th generation of Remscheid's oldest tool manufacturer, which is still majority owned by the founding family.

The effort of several generations of employees, customers, suppliers and partners has contributed to the success of more than two centuries of ARNTZ, including two world wars, total industrialization and several product changes.

Starting with wood drills and files, ARNTZ, with a total of 180 employees at 4 locations, today produces high-performance band saw blades for the cutting the most diverse range of materials, thus ensuring precise cuts in more than 80 countries every day. For example, the double H-beams for the New York 'One World Trade Center' in Manhattan were cut to size with ARNTZ band saw blades.

ARNTZ band saw blades can be found in all areas of metalworking, from sawing medium-sized tubes and profiles to titanium forgings as a raw product for artificial hip joints. So that ARNTZ, as a classic representative of the 'old economy', is well prepared for the demands of the future and can further expand its international network of partnerships.
